Territorial Army Recruitment Notification 2016-2017 out

Hello aspirants. Indian army has announced recruitment for Territorial Army 2016-2017. The candidates can apply on or before 30 June 2016.

Eligibility Criteria:

Only male citizens of India and Ex-service man can apply.

Age Limit: 18 to 42 years on the date of application.

Educational Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university.

Physical Standards: A candidate must be physically and medically fit in all respects.

Late date for Applying: 30 June 2016.

Date of Exam: 31 July 2016.


Note: Serving members of regular Army/Navy/Air Force/Police/GREF/PARA Military and like forces are not eligible.

How to Apply (Civilian Candidates): All desirous civilian candidates can obtain the application form from the employment news or download from the www.indianarmy.nic.in (Free of Cost) and send it with self attested envelope (28 X 12 cm) along with two passport size photographs and a postal stamp affixed worth Rs. 27/- to the respective Territorial Army Headquarters as per the choice of the examination centre.

No request for change of examination centre will be granted. The eligible candidates shall be issued an Admit Card and will be sent by post by the respective Territorial Army Headquarters Group.

Selection Procedure:

• The candidates whose application forms are found to be correct will be called for screening (Written Exam and Interview) by a Preliminary Interview Board (PIB) by the respective Territorial Army Group Headquarters.
• Successful candidates will undergo tests at the Service Selection Board and Medical Board for final selection.

Training: 

• One month basic training in the first year of commission.
• Two months annual training camp every year including the first year. 
• Three months post commissioning training within first two years in IMA, Dehradun.

Candidates who qualify in the written examination of Preliminary Interview Board are required to bring following documents in original as well as attested copies at the time of interview:

1. All educational qualification certificates (Matric Onwards).
2. Latest physical fitness certificate from a registered MBBS Doctor.
3. Copy of identity proof with photographs(Voter ID/Pan Card/Passport/Diving License).
4. Domicile/ Residential proof.
5. Service certificate by the candidates employed in the Central Govt./ Union Territory./ State/Semi - Govt./ Private Sector Authenticated by the Head Office along with No Objection Certificate. 
6. Self - Employed candidates are required to submit an Affidavit on Non-Judicial stamp paper of minimum value duly attested stating nature of employment and annual income along with photocopy of PAN card and self certified character certificate. 
7. In case, the candidate name varies in the document should submit a copy of Gazette notification of India/State showing the correct name or an affidavit duly supported by the newspaper cutting.
8. Employees of Railway have to submit No Objection Certificate issued by the Railway Board.
